Brett Carter, President and General Manager
Brett Carter has been with the company since 1991, serving in Finance roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to joining the company as a full time employee, he was a summer telecom technician gaining field experience. Brett holds a master’s degree in business administration from Alaska Pacific University and a bachelor of science degree in business administration and finance from Northern Arizona University. He is also a graduate of the Tele-Management program at the University of Kansas. Brett is a Trustee for the TelAlaska Profit Sharing Plan and was a member of the Separations and Access Committee of the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies (OPASTCO) before the trade association merged with the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA).
Jason Louvier, Vice-President Operations
Jason Louvier is responsible for managing the operations of TelAlaska’s satellite and terrestrial advanced data operations, the company’s 25 telephone central offices outside plant facilities and cellular operations, 2 CATV operations, and technicians and construction employees for five subsidiaries. He is also responsible for the company’s technical and safety training standards, developing department budgets and coordinating work between Operations and the organization. Jason has over 22 years of experience in leadership and engineering roles in telecommunications, the last 15 with TelAlaska. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute.
