Privacy Policy

TelAlaska’s Privacy Policy

Account Information
TelAlaska will honor requests from customers for account information maintained in a reasonably retrievable form, such as name, address, company or billing information, and will correct any inaccurate information that the customer brings to TelAlaska’s attention. The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the information on file with TelAlaska is current and accurate.

Collection & Use
TelAlaska shall collect and use customer-identifiable information for billing, provisioning of service, to anticipate and solve problems associated with your service and to inform you of new products or services that may better meet your needs. TelAlaska will use your customer identifiable information to market products and services that may be of interest to you, but will not disclose or make available any of your customer identifiable information to any third parties seeking to market products.

Disclosure
TelAlaska will not trade, sell or disclose to any third party any form of customer identifiable information without the consent of the customer (except as required by law, including subpoena, search warrant or other legal process, to assert legal defenses or in the case where failure to disclose information will lead to imminent harm to the customer or others). This includes information derived from registration, subscription, and use of any services provided by TelAlaska.

Improper Activity
TelAlaska may use and disclose to law enforcement authorities customer identifiable information to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful activity or activities that threaten the integrity of service or network integrity or otherwise violates any applicable Service Subscriber Agreement.

Privacy of Communications
TelAlaska will not listen to or disclose to any third parties your conversations or other communications that are transmitted using any services provided by TelAlaska, except as required to ensure the proper operation of that service or as otherwise required by law.

Privacy Protections for Children
TelAlaska does not target children or teenagers under the age of 18 for the collection of information online. In addition, TelAlaska will not knowingly promote or link to any third-party website that solicits or collects such customer identifiable information. TelAlaska complies with all Federal laws and regulations that protect minors, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

Nevertheless, once you lease our website, either by link or by entering a new internet address in your browser’s address window, we no longer have control over information security, and we are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or other use of other websites.  We encourage you to review the privacy statements of those other sites.

Security and Integrity of Information
We employ information security techniques to appropriately protect customer information from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. Access to customer information is limited to those employees who have a legitimate business need for that information.

Your Choice
If you choose not to participate in direct marketing of new products and services from TelAlaska, your customer identifiable information will not be used for the purpose of marketing such products or services to you, and TelAlaska will not contact you directly with marketing messages about such products or services.

Mobile Application
TelAlaska collects and processes information provided directly by you when you install the TelAlaska App and register for an account to use the App. This information includes, but is not limited to:

  • Your name, email address, location, phone number.
  • Browser information and session cookies related to your access and use of the App.
  • Data insights TelAlaska attains based on correlation and analytics of your information collected in providing the App, which may be used in aggregated and dis-aggregated formats or to obtain trend analytics, to provide the App; and
  • Use of the above-described collected information in aggregated and dis-aggregated formats to enhance our current App or to provide App features.
